A fan of chaos I am not.
I like things to be as orderly as possible, all the time. I do not like to feel like I am out of control, in any way. I keep insane lists, and now I even have a whole entire book devoted to my lists. To embark without a plan is, well, practically impossible for me. Spontaneity is really, really a challenge. My sweet, spontaneous, fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants husband is extremely patient with me. And the Lord is absolutely using him to grow me in this area.
Case in point?
The master bathroom.
Now, to his credit, we had discussed this project. Fixtures and wallpaper. And a new shower door. Well, he's just so cute... I just couldn't say, "No," when he asked to "expand" our project a little bit. He assured me that he knew what he was doing, could do it within our budget, and would be done before Nora arrives in less than 10 weeks.
I tell you, I'm growing. Little by little.
I've had a few minor (?) meltdowns over the whole thing, but the Lord has given me an amazing peace about the whole project. And I really, really can't wait to see the finished project... I know it's going to be beautiful!
I'm sure I'm going to post more about this, as it's become quite the "event" around our house... but I think you'd better read about it as Michael posts. He's much funnier, and full of the pictures. It's amazing what you can do with just a Saturday and a Monday evening.
Also... I've been posting much more frequently these past few days, so scroll down for some posts you might have missed!

Isn't it great to have partners who are both handy and adventurous? It's definitely a blessing. Can't wait to see how the new bath turns out!
oh, my darlin'...I absolutely LOVE to see our great God at work! How sweet it is that you recognize His doing a work in you through your dear husband. I so appreciate your spirit of calm, and your heart of love. And guess what...He's teaching me a few things through y'all along the way...glory be!!! big big love to my thomases...mops
Oh, my goodness!!! As I began to read your post I thought about our last day today of bible study and how we were talking about turning over everything to the Lord, He is in control anyway...but then I saw the photo and must admit...it almost passed out! Not from Michael's inability to do a fabulous job, which no doubt he will do, but becuase of the emmensity of it all...mess, time schedule, organizational planning and tool maintance...see who needs to go back to her bible study?! Well, praise the Lord for you my dear, bending and yeilding and trusting. Praise the Lord for a husband who eagerly takes on a project to give you the best! It sounds devine! We too, are having a new shower...promised by Friday of this week. My husband WATCHES as Jim and Denny and plumber Larry do a very fantastic job! Either way...its all a test! Speck so. Love to our Thomas'! We are praying for you and Miss Nora's entry into the world! God Bless. Miss you much! Love the Potters
