Praising

After staying up late (Michael) to give Motrin and setting alarms in the night to redose (Sarah) for her fever that peaked over 103, it appears we have a peaceful babe. We haven't heard anything from her since 2:15,and it's 7:35. (Yes, I've checked on her!)

It is amazing what a blessing it is to go to bed early and then get an extra hour of sleep... I'm feeling so much more refreshed! God is good, and he knows exactly what I need.

Today we'll be hopefully getting back into a bit of a routine... and cheering on our Tide, of course! We have a big adventure planned for next week (anyone have tips for flying with an 8 month old?) that I really should start preparing for. And of course, Thanksgiving is right around the corner!

Note: the picture is blurry, but occurred during yesterday's afternoon nap. For both of us. The infamous "Lamby" is blocking Phoebe's sweet mouth. She can't even nap with Mommy without her precious lamb.

We flew to Indy to see Andy & Kelly in August. Alyssa was 16 1/2 months and Mallory was 6 months. The best thing for Alyssa was the laptop with her favorite DVD. We were lucky to fly during Mallory's nap times so she slept most of the time. Bring lots of juice or milk and snacks. I was most worried about their ears but it didn't seem to bother them at all.

I'm glad Phoebe is feeling better! When I flew with Rebecca, I just tried to schedule a nap in the plane and have a bottle for the take-off and landing. Also, sometimes Rebecca wasn't interested in the bottle, so a pacifier worked well, too. Good luck!
