When I was in high school, school was canceled because of the threat of snow. We woke up the next morning? No snow -- not even a dusting. So I have a healthy amount of skepticism when it comes to winter weather advisories around here... especially when those winter weather advisories come on the first day of March.
Well, our ever-faithful James Spann (and a shout out to Dan Satterfield here, too) was right this time. In fact, I think he underestimated the snow accumulation -- since we had somewhere around two inches of snow by eleven. We practically had a blizzard yesterday!
Michael and I couldn't wait to wake Phoebe up. We'd just gotten an email from Jason saying we'd still have worship services (which meant we still were on tap to teach the K5 girls), so we needed to squeeze in some snow time before church. Phoebs was even more delighted than we thought she'd be. After a quick explanation of "snow" to her, we zipped on another layer of jammies, grabbed some boots, and shoved her out the door.
Her squeals of delight were priceless. The snow indeed proclaimed His handiwork -- and we couldn't help but praise Him for it. And honestly, if our God can give us snow in Alabama in March... He can do anything.
The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.

Amen! "For nothing is impossible with God!" Luke 1:37 Been thinking of you all down in the south with your "snow". Have been delighted to think about your enjoyment and now to see pictures...well, I am blessed.
God Bless, settled in at the Resort with sunshine and freezing temps. Love, Ann
